Everyone is in the spirit of the Season and Rockaway Beach is ready to light up the town and share the joy! The City of Rockaway Beach and the Rockaway Beach Merchant’s Association invite one and all to kick off the Holiday Season with the city’s Annual Tree Lighting Event This Friday November 25, 2022, 5:45pm-7pm.
Rockaway Beach Tree Lighting Event Schedule:
- At 6pm, Santa will arrive on the train
- Cookies & Cocoa will be available
- Can Food Donations for North County Food Bank
Pet Food Donations for local rescue organizations- Write “Letters to Santa”
- Hang your homemade Ornaments on the tree
- 6:15pm Salty Strings performs
- 6:30pm Countdown to Tree Lighting
- 6:31pm Jen Troxel Christmas Solo
- 6:35pm Salty Strings leads everyone in our Annual “Christmas Sing-Along
- 7pm Train Departs for Garibaldi

The Rockaway Beach Merchant’s Association (RBMA), is once again holding their ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DECORATING CONTEST. Entry forms can be picked up at Rockaway Roastery, Troxel ‘s Jewelry or you can enter online from the Rockaway Beach Merchant’s Association FB page.
This year there will be 3 categories: 1. Residential 2. Commercial Building 3. Commercial window display. All entries must be submitted online or to the businesses named above by Wednesday December 14th at 6pm. Judging will be on Thursday December 15th starting at 6pm. MAKE SURE YOUR LIGHTS ARE ON! The Rockaway Beach Chamber of Commerce will have a booth where YOU CAN MAKE SAND DOLLAR ORNAMENTS from 5pm-7pm ( for free.) You can hang your ornament on The City Christmas Tree or keep it as a memento.
