SENATOR JEFF MERKLEY TOWN HALL IN TILLAMOOK SATURDAY JANUARY 17 AT TILLAMOOK HIGH SCHOOL; NINE TOWN HALLS SCHEDULED THIS WEEKEND JAN. 16-19

Posted on January 13, 2026 by Editor
Senator Jeff Merkley is headed to Tillamook County for a public town hall conversation on Saturday, January 17 at 2:00 PM and I’d love to hear from you!
Whether it’s fighting for solutions to the affordable housing crisis, creating living wage jobs that support families, working to bring down the cost of prescription drugs, or protecting our “We the People” democracy, hearing directly from Oregonians about the challenges they face and the issues they care most about shapes my work in the Senate.
Input from communities across Oregon has a big impact on legislation in D.C. Feedback and ideas from Oregonians were the basis for funding he secured for nearly 500 community-initiated projects around the state—direct, targeted investments in our communities.
These forums give folks around the county a chance to ask questions, talk about federal policy, and let the Sentator know what’s working in your local community that we might want to bring to a national level. “Advocating for Oregon in Congress is what I’m here for, and I hope to see you at a town hall this year,” said Senator Merkley.
The Tillamook County Town Hall will be held Saturday January 17 at 2pm:
Tillamook High School, Auditorium
2605 12th St, Tillamook, OR 97141

Senator Merkley holding nine in-person conversations in Benton, Clatsop, Columbia, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Multnomah, Tillamook, and Washington counties January 16-18

Washington, D.C. — Oregon’s U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley announced today he will continue his town halls with in-person community conversations in Multnomah, Washington, and Columbia counties on Friday, January 16, conversations in Lincoln, Tillamook, and Clatsop counties on Saturday, January 17, followed by conversations in Lane, Benton, and Linn counties on Sunday, January 18.

Merkley will be joined by U.S. Representative Val Hoyle for the Lane County town hall and Janelle Bynum for the Linn County town hall.

The eight events continue Merkley’s 2026 town hall tour of Oregon, where he will hold a community conversation in each of the state’s 36 counties.

“I’m looking forward to again visiting wonderful communities all over our state. By talking directly to folks in each county my team and I can go to work for the interests and needs most important in each corner of our state,” Merkley said.
