We got a “sneak peek” at the new Tillamook Bay Community College Community Center, Administration and Health Services Building this week, and it’s something to make Tillamook County proud. From the light from the row of skylights to the themed etched glass, welcoming student lounges and study rooms to the technology equipped healthcare simulation labs to the HUGE Community Center rooms – just WOW! Be sure to join TBCC as they officially “open” the new building with a grand event on Saturday April 18th from 1 to 4 pm. There will be tours and treats from Portside Bistro, cotton candy, ice cream from TCCA and beverages from Pelican Brewing. The real treat is the building and all that it offers our community. The first students started classes a few weeks ago with the start of the Spring Term, 2026.
In 2022, a $14.4M bond was approved by Tillamook County voters, allowing Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) to construct a new Administration & Health Sciences Building. With another $8M from the Oregon Legislature and a $1.4M bond premium, $23.8M in bond dollars are available for this project.

The TBCC Administration & Health Sciences Building is constructed next to the main campus building, with groundbreaking in the summer 2024. The 28,000 square foot building has been designed by Opsis Architecture, with input from faculty, staff, students, and the community. The project managers working with the college are Wenaha Group. The building should be ready to opened for the Spring Term 2026, and the official ribbon-cutting and grand opening will be held on Saturday April 18th.
The building provides the college with the capacity to add a nursing program, and additional healthcare occupations training programs, and provide space to expand and add new degrees and certificates to meet the community’s growing workforce training needs.

The new building includes state-of-the-art simulation labs, high-tech classrooms, office space, and a large-scale community space for conferences, trainings, and locally hosted events.
