Tillamook’s 3rd Annual National Night Out event was held on August 6, 2024, at Goodspeed Park, on a sunny, breezy summer evening. This community-building event was hosted by the Tillamook City Police Department.
Kids and adults enjoyed live music provided by Mercury Coast, along with festivities such as a bouncy house and games for the kids, Dunk a Cop, and delicious food provided by Twins Ranch. Various community organizations tabled at the event to provide resources and fun giveaways and activities, even face painting! There were bubbles in the air and lots of smiles.
The annual event is aimed at fostering police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, and was very successful, according to Chief Troxel, who estimates that around 200 people were in attendance.

Chief Troxel expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors:
– The Tillamook Community, most of all, and Tillamook Farm Store, The Friends of Tillamook Police, Tillamook PUD, Demilinea Bouncies, Mercury Coast, City Sanitary, Tillamook Fire District, Nazarene Church, Twins Ranch, Werner Beef & Brew, City of Tillamook, US Foods, Tillamook Elks, Tillamook Family Counseling, Tillamook Early Learning Center, Tillamook Health Center, Tillamook Suicide Prevention, Community Resource Consejo Hispano, Oregon Department of Human Services, Tillamook Head Start, Info 211, TLC, a Division of Fiber Federal Credit Union, Food Roots Northwest, Oregon Family Support Network, Healthy Families (NWOR), Columbia Pacific CCO, Tillamook 911, Beth Hope’s Face Painting
Our community is already looking forward to the 4th Annual National Night Out, and Tillamook City Police is excited to announce that it has already been scheduled! Save the date for Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Goodspeed Park, Tillamook.
