TILLAMOOK COUNTY GIVING GUIDE: SOW SEEDS OF LOVE WITH SUPPORT FOR LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

Posted on November 27, 2025 by Editor

The Tillamook County Giving Guide is in mailboxes throughout the county, and available here on the Pioneer as we all look around to see what we can do right here, in our own backyards to really make a difference — the Giving Guide provides that guidance and information. Nearly 130 nonprofit organizations take care a variety of needs in our communities.

The cover of the Giving Guide features the artwork from a young local artist – Morgandy Cruse, that captures how each one of us can plant seeds of love through giving of funds, time and attention.

All we need is love

Fulcrum Community Resources and the Tillamook County Pioneer are pleased to present this 9th annual publication, to provide information and encouragement to support these vitally important organizations. Each hour and dollar given is precious and important and produces a harvest of love.

We are all gardeners in this thing called life, and we leave the “harvest” of our words, actions and demeanor in our wake, wherever we go. So, let’s all Sow the Seeds of Love! In whatever way calls to you — be it kind words, a hand up or out, a smile, a meditation, speaking up for someone who can’t, or any random act of kindness, let’s care for each other. Close your eyes for a moment, if you will, and imagine what the power of love can do. As often as possible present with love.

Our local nonprofits and service organizations have been sowing the seeds of love for years. And the time is now. Spread love with your money and time to help guarantee that everyone is safe, fed, housed, has adequate health care, access to beauty and education. Your generosity is needed and appreciated more than ever!

By making your year-end giving donations locally, you keep your money circulating here at home. You are adding your care, compassion and hope so our organizations can function powerfully. The time that you give volunteering adds another rich layer of care, compassion and hope.

Our organizations impact all aspects of our lives, from health and wellness, sustainability, environmental stewardship, conservation, food security, housing, universal access, women’s issues, children’s well-being, animal welfare, education, safety, disaster relief, community preparedness, and arts and culture. They create a strong, vibrant and resilient community. They collaborate and form partnerships which build a culture of efficiency, cooperation and communication. They provide jobs, a trained and inclusive workforce, volunteer opportunities, internships, and training. They give us opportunities to connect, heal, play and hope. And they need our support to continue to make a difference!

Thank you to all those who have donated, discovered and volunteered in past years!

Included in the Guide are paid profiles of nearly 40 organizations, and a free listing of contact information for 129 organizations providing services, resources and support that improve the quality of life for everyone in our community. Many organizations do not have the budget for a profile, which covers the cost of printing and mailing, so we include at the back of the Guide this list of most of the nonprofits and charitable organizations in the county. This free listing is available to any Tillamook County nonprofit or service organization.

The links to detailed directories are posted on northcoastbbq.com on the local resources page.

We welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions. We especially want to hear from you if you don’t see your favorite group in the free listing. Email barbaraandchuck@nehalemtel.net with your comments and/or information about an organization.

Fulcrum Community Resources’ mission is to foster the transition of the Nehalem Bay community to a sustainable future. Our volunteer group initiates and coordinates local programs in north Tillamook County. We also sponsor others’ projects that fit with our mission and goals. We see Fulcrum, not as a hub, but as an enabling node – one of many groups locally who are organizing and creating projects. Our guiding philosophy is that the most effective and innovative projects are initiated at the grassroots community level. www.fulcrumresources.org
