Tillamook County Libraries Unveil New Library Catalog

Posted on March 10, 2025 by Editor

(Tillamook, Oregon – March 10, 2025) The Tillamook County Libraries have officially joined their new consortium the Chinook Library Network. This new network encompasses libraries from three counties and seeks to provide expanded access to all Oregon coastal communities.
As part of this merger the libraries have all migrated to a new library catalog that was unveiled today, March 10th inside the library and will be available for access outside the library starting on March 11th. Patrons will be greeted with a new interface that offers quick and easy browse categories for popular and new items based on age groups. Patrons can create lists of items they want to read/watch/listen to, and they can keep their reading history if they choose to.

Library patrons should expect a few changes. While all account information, checkouts, holds and fine information were migrated to the new system, pin numbers were not. All pin numbers have been reset to a default of the last four of the patron’s phone number.
Additionally, patrons will need to log in again to their online Libby accounts to access their e-book and e-audiobooks. Staff members can assist with these changes in person at the library or over the phone by calling 503-842-4792. Or go to www.tillabook.org
