Tillamook County Library Offers Tutor.com for Online Tutoring

Posted on August 2, 2025 by Editor

(Tillamook, OR – August 1, 2025) The Tillamook County Library is excited to announce a new online resource for virtual learning with Tutor.com. This service, free to library cardholders, is a powerful tool that offers live tutoring, homework help, test preparation, and job support.
“We are thrilled to bring Tutor.com to our community,” said Danielle Meininger, Systems Librarian. “This service opens up opportunities for students and adults by providing ondemand tutoring between 3pm and 11pm, 7 days a week, as well as resume and interview help. It’s another way we’re ensuring our library remains a hub for lifelong learning.”
Just in time for the back-to-school-season, Tutor.com connects students at their time of need to one of over 3,000 highly vetted expert tutors. With instant access to one-to-one homework help and tutoring, students can lower their anxiety and raise their confidence about their schoolwork. And local teachers can use the resources too! Tillamook teachers can expect to get more information on how to promote and use the resource either in their school email inbox, on the library website (Tillabook.org) or by calling the library at 503- 842-4792.

In addition, students preparing for college entrance exams can take practice ACT and SAT tests, receive a full score report that includes suggested areas for review, view video lessons on tested concepts, and use The Princeton Review’s practice drills to help reach their target scores.
With the Tutor.com Career Center, job seekers can work one-to-one with professional tutors in a private, supportive environment for help with job searches, resume writing, interview preparation, and more. This service also includes 24/7 access to resources such as resume templates, cover letter samples, online job search tools, and local job listings.
Accessing Tutor.com is easy for library users. They can start by visiting https://tutor.com/tillamook and entering their full library card number if accessing the site from outside the library. Once logged in, it is recommended to create a free account in order to, save work, transcripts, and favorite tutors. Users also have the option to continue as a guest without creating an account.
For help accessing this free service, patrons are encouraged to visit their local library and ask for a live demonstration. They can also receive a tour of the Tutor.com online classroom from their tutor during their first online tutoring session. This resource is another way that your library is here to help. Come get your free library card today and see where it takes you.
