Earlier this afternoon, Tillamook 911 dispatched TCSO Deputies, Nehalem Bay Fire-Rescue and Manzanita Police to a report of a missing elderly man. The man has been located and driven home by Manzanita Police Officer Sean Mumey.
Searchers had been searching the Bayside Gardens area of Nehalem in Tillamook County for the missing 78-year-old man.
“The man had gone for a walk from the area of Bayside Gardens Rd and Fern Way at around 3 pm this afternoon,” said TCSO SAR Coordinator, Deputy Chris Barnett. “Fortunately, he was dressed appropriately for the weather.”
Still, the dropping temperature had searchers very concerned for his well-being.
“Thankfully, he has been located and has no injuries, was in good spirits, and had just got turned around a bit,” added TCSO Deputy Sam Cummings.
