(Tillamook County, OR) – On June 18, 2025, a Tillamook County Grand Jury indicted John Dennie Johnson, 64, of Rockaway Beach, on multiple felony charges following a lengthy investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving juvenile victims.
Johnson was indicted on a total of twelve counts. These include nine counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, one count of Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, one count of Rape in the First Degree, and one count of Rape in the Second Degree. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
On June 20, 2025, Detective Sergeant Michelle Raymond of the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office, along with two Patrol Deputies, executed the arrest warrant at Johnson’s place of employment. Johnson was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Tillamook County Jail on $600,000 bail.
“This case involves multiple felony charges and required a coordinated investigative effort,” said lead investigator Detective Sergeant Michelle Raymond. “The charges reflect the severity of the allegations and the thorough work conducted by investigators throughout this process.”
Due to the sensitive nature of the case and in accordance with Oregon law, no further details regarding the juvenile victims will be released. “Protecting the privacy and dignity of those affected remains a top priority,” said Sheriff Joshua Brown.
