Dear TSD 9 Staff anad Families:
This evening, local law enforcement was made aware of a reported school safety concern that was circulating on social media and through phone calls. Law enforcement responded immediately and is actively investigating.
At this time, there is not enough information to determine that the reported threat is credible. However, out of an abundance of caution and with the safety and well-being of our students, staff and community as out top priority, Tillamook School District9 will be canceling school tomorrow, Thursday February 5, 2026. This will allow additional time for law enfocement to continue their investigation and for the district to take appropriate safety steps.
We understand that situations like this can be unsettling, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. We will continue to work closely with local law enforcement and will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership in keeping our school community safe.
Respectfully,
Jenniferr Guarcello, Superintendent
