EDITOR’S NOTE: The Commissioners also extended the local State of Emergency in Tillamook County to July 6, 2020. The BOC declared the state of emergency on March 14, 2020 due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19); extended it to May 15, then to May 31. The emergency still exists and the Board deems it is necessary to extend the declaration to July 6th.

The Tillamook Board of County Commissioners voted May 27, 2020 to reopen 13 county boat launches
seven days per week. Fully reopened boat launches include:
1) Burton Fraser
2) Fishers Point
3) Little Nestucca
4) Lake Lytle
5) Memaloose Point
6) Nehalem Bay
7) Netarts Landing
8) Pacific City
9) Parks Landing
10) Roy Creek

The Tillamook Tidewater ADA access boat dock on Highway 131 is also open seven days per week.
The Cape Kiwanda boat launch at Hungry Harbor Drive shall be open seven days a week to commercial dory boat operators, who are also permitted to the park on the beach. The boat launch is open to recreational dory boat operators Monday through Friday. Recreational operators are prohibited from parking on the beach but are permitted to park trailers in the Cape Kiwanda parking lot. The Hungry Harbor Drive boat launch will be closed at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays to the recreational fleet.
Kilchis River Campground boat launch and Whalen Island boat launch will remain closed until June 15, 2020.
Mills Bridge and Mapes Creek boat launches will remain closed until further notice.
At their May 20 meeting, the commissioners voted to lift the limit of three persons per boat.
Boaters should comply with all Oregon State Marine Board regulations and the Governor’s order on
