Hello Tillamook, the low pressure area that has given us around 1.5” of rain over the weekend through this morning, is now spinning just west of the far northwestern Oregon coast. It is expected to slowly push eastward today and bring more bands of rain and rainshowers across the region. Tonight we can expect scattered showers to continue to rotate around the low, that will then be east of the area. There is also a chance of some patchy fog in the early morning hours, with calm winds, the overnight low temperature down around 44.
Another weak trough will give us another chance of showers tomorrow, the winds becoming westerly 5-10 with the high near 55. Tomorrow night it looks like another low pressure area will drop down from the Gulf of Alaska towards Vancouver Island, bringing more showers into the area along with some breezy southwesterly winds also, increasing to 14-18 gusting to 25 that evening, then decreasing late tomorrow night, the low temperature tomorrow near 42.
We can expect more showers on Wednesday as that low drops into the Pacific Northwest, the winds becoming westerly 5-10 gusting to 15, with highs near 54. The shower activity continues Wednesday night, the temperature dropping to near 35. The snow level remains well above the passes, but the higher Coast Range mountains could see some flurries above around 3500’.
Thursday that low pressure area is still lingering around the Pacific Northwest, so we see some more rain and rainshowers, and throw in a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms too with some unstable air moving across, the high near 53. A chance of showers still Thursday night, lows down near 33. That snow level is still down around 3500’.
The rain chance starts to diminish by Friday afternoon, the high only near 50, then some partly cloudy skies expected for Friday night, the low drops to near 34.
The weekend looks fair, dry, but cool for the trick-or-treaters, with mostly sunny days, highs near 54, partly cloudy nights with lows near 34.
Stay safe everyone, have a great week and I’ll be back next week.
