Letter of Support: Christy Kay Brings Heart-Centered, Authentic Approach to NCRD Board

Posted on May 3, 2025May 3, 2025 by Editor

To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to offer this letter of support for Christy Kay, a candidate for the North County Recreation District (NCRD) Board of Directors.
As someone who works closely with teens, young adults, and families throughout Tillamook County, I have a deep appreciation for leaders who show up with authenticity, compassion, and a true commitment to community wellness. In the time I’ve known Christy, even through our limited interactions, it has been clear to me that she embodies those qualities.
Christy is known throughout the Nehalem area as a kindhearted and generous presence. As a local business owner, she has built strong connections within the community, and her consistent support of teenagers, especially LGBTQ+ youth, speaks volumes about her character and values. Her efforts to create safe, welcoming spaces for young people are both meaningful and necessary in today’s world.

I believe Christy’s perspective, integrity, and heart-centered approach would make her a valuable addition to the NCRD Board. She brings not only her community-mindedness but also a grounded understanding of what it means to serve and support others. I trust she would approach this role with dedication and care, always keeping the best interests of our residents, especially our youth, in mind.
Thank you for considering my support of Christy Kay. I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will continue to make in our community.
Sincerely,
Denise Donohue, MEd
