HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS – From Manzanita to Pacific City – There’s All Kinds of Community Treats

Posted on October 30, 2026 by Editor

Halloween on a Saturday means there are activities from north to south – starting in mid-afternoon through the evening.
Here’s a run-down – see event flyers below:

Manzanita – Hall-O-Nita continues with pariticpating Manzanita merchants handing out treats from 3 to 5 pm; at the North County Library in Manzanita the treat is a book! And that’s where the Pioneer will be … books for treats!! Yeah!

Wheeler is celebrating with “Trails and Treats” – The Wheeler Salmonberry Demonstration Trail will be ready for public enjoyment on Halloween!
Join the Salmonberry Trail, Heart of Cartm, and the City of Wheeler for a special celebration to learn about train construction, a trail walk, and candy at the train station. Bring the whole family and wear your costumes!
Event Breakdown:
2:30PM- Presentation on trail construction at Heart of Cartm with Salmonberry Trail Planning and Construction Board Member Michael Neunzert
3:30PM-Trail walk to Bott’s Marsh
4PM-6PM- Enjoy hot cocoa and cider, candy toss, and Trunk or Treat at the Train Depot in downtown Wheeler.

Rockaway’s Trunk or Treat sets up at Anchor Street Park with Pete the Pumpkin, treats, hot dogs and more, from 3 to 5 pm

NEW this year – Visit Kilchis Point Reserve on Halloween for a festival fall walk featuring candy and trinkets. The event will take place from 2-4 pm, and as always, the park will close at dusk.
Happy Halloween!

Bay City is getting in on the Trunk or Treat action in front of City Hall from 5 to 7 pm.

And in South County – Trick or Treat the Dory Fleet!
Join us this Halloween from 5PM-7PM in the Kiawanda Community Center parking lot, where the dory fleet will get a spooky makeover for an evening of family-friendly fun! Enjoy live music, food, games, and plenty of trick-or-treating.
Want to add to the fun? Head over to the Village Shops from 3–5 PM for even more trick-or-treating before making your way to the dory fleet!

For adults – there are several Halloween parties, the infamous Hookers Ball at the Sportsman Pub in Pacific City, the San Dune Pub in Manzanita also infamous for their Halloween party …

Have fun and be safe!
