Tides of Change (TofC) will hold the 15th Annual Tillamook Soup Bowl event beginning at 5pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Pacific Restaurant in Tillamook. Join us for this special evening that features 150 unique soup bowls created especially for this event by Northwest potters along with an extensive variety of soups, artisan bread and desserts donated by local area individuals and restaurants.
The first 150 people to purchase $50 dinner tickets will receive a bowl of their choice to use and keep as a memento of this community collaboration. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat dinner without a bowl are $30. Tickets are available online at https://tocsoupbowl2025.eventbrite.com/ Contact Tides of Change at (503) 842-9486 for questions.
After selecting a one-of-a-kind bowl, participants can tempt their taste buds by choosing from an array of soups and desserts. As in past years, the evening will be casual and fun. Proceeds from the Soup Bowl support the many community programs and services offered by the ToC including: advocacy, education, outreach, emergency and support services, and shelter.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and Tides of Change is Tillamook County’s nonprofit dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, the national #Every1KnowsSome1 campaign in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This collaborative effort aims to shed light on the pervasive issue of domestic violence and empower people to come together as communities to address this epidemic.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month, held annually in October, allows communities nationwide to join forces to raise awareness about the far-reaching impact of domestic violence. The #Every1KnowsSome1 campaign focuses on the theme that everyone knows someone affected by domestic violence, whether they realize it or not.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 47.3% of women and 44.2% of men in the United States have reported contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner at some point in their lifetime. The CDC also finds that lesbian women (56.3%), gay men (47.7%), bisexual women (69.3%), and bisexual men (46.1%) face even higher rates of violence.
High rates of domestic violence are not private, individual problems; they require community solutions. By acknowledging this reality, we can collectively work towards ending domestic violence and creating safe, healthy communities for everyone.
