The New Moon in Capricorn this year, shows up on the highest mountain top and down in the deepest sea. It is more magnificent and powerful than we can possibly imagine. It is the Grandmothers and Grandfathers calling to us.
All of them are gathered around this New Moon calling to us to step up and inhabit our lives and protect what is important. How it lines up in the sky is extraordinary! I must share …
It starts with Mercury, then Mars, Sun, Moon then Venus (who just barely crossed into Aquarius for the New Moon) and Pluto. All of these planets are interacting with everything else in the sky too. AND this New Moon will be right over our heads in the highest point of the sky. (If you are in the Pacific Northwest.)
It is a grand gathering of the elders from the heavens, looking after us.
Capricorn is the sign of our older wise ones that care for the tribe with their grounded wisdom and leadership. It is represented by a Sea Goat which is a mythical beast with a fish tail and a goat torso and head.
The Sea Goat can swim anywhere and can also climb the highest mountain. That is so Capricorn, they simply can do anything they put their mind to. But they also have a deeply mythical and spiritual side to them.
Our culture has shifted the Capricorn agenda to one of ambition, discipline, work oriented and full of rules. This is the goat side of Capricorn. Then there is the fish tail part that represents the emotional intelligence and spiritual side of this Earth sign. This is Capricorn’s connection to higher order.
It is important for this driven sign to remember to balance the ambition for Earthly possessions with emotionally important things like love, joy, pleasure and relaxation.
This grand gathering in Capricorn for the New Moon is all about that. They are asking us what is truly important to us. When you are in your death spiral, what will give you peace that you have lived a fulfilling life?
Capricorn is also the sign of sustainability and building a better tomorrow. The Grandmothers and Grandfathers are asking how can you give back or pay it forward? What can you do to build our culture in a direction that is for the good of all?
Don’t forget the mystical part of Capricorn and call on the elders, shining down on us, to guide us. We are not in this alone! We are in this together and we are watched over by the planets and our spiritual elders/ancestors.
