Edward Wayne Jordan was born July 4th, 1959, to William ‘Frank’ and Shirley Jordan, in Abingdon, Virginia.
Ed’s family moved around quite a bit since his dad was in the U. S. Air Force, so Ed grew up in several places, Virginia, Texas, Alaska and finally Oregon, where he graduated from Nestucca High School. After graduation Ed spent several years logging, he loved the woods and rivers and could often be found hunting or fishing. Gardening was another of Ed’s favorite pastimes. He found great joy in making people smile and was known for telling jokes. He loved his daily outing with his dog, Liam, who ran about 5 miles, while Ed drove the truck. Liam also rode in the boat while fishing, to guard the catch.
Ed was a devoted member of Tillamook No. 57 Masonic Lodge, currently serving as Junior Warden, he was also a member of York Rite Masons.
Edward was preceded in death by his mother Shirley, a daughter, Kelly Elizabeth, and his brother R. Barry Jordan. He is survived by his son Jacob and daughter Amber, and siblings Jeff (Dustin, Seth, Bradley, Casey) Jordan, Kelsey (Leah E.) Jordan, and step-Mother Leah J. Jordan and Step-brother Bo (Erin, Myles) Bockelman.
Later in life, he met the loving wife he would share the rest of his time with, Kimberly and his blended family, step-son Thomas Hampton, sister-in-law Sandy (Steve) Leon, and nephew-in-law Steve Alexandra) Leon. Kim plans to remain in the area, so we will continue to enjoy her presence.
A memorial service will be held at the Tillamook Masonic Lodge, located at 1904 ½ 2nd Street, in Tillamook, on March 21st at noon, followed by lunch in the dining room.
