Pelican Brewing Partners with Pacific Northwest Coast Paddling Club as New Community Sponsor

Posted on June 29, 2026 by Editor

The Pacific Northwest Coast Paddling Club is proud to announce an exciting new sponsorship with Pelican Brewing, marking the beginning of a community-focused partnership that supports local athletics and coastal traditions.

Pelican Brewing, with locations in Siletz Bay, Pacific City, Tillamook, Rockaway Beach, and Cannon Beach, and soon to open Yachats, has become an official sponsor of the PNW Coast Paddling Club’s Nehalem Bay TideRunners dragon boat team.

As part of this new partnership, Pelican Brewing will host Pint Nights this fall at both its Cannon Beach and Rockaway Beach locations. During these special events in September and October, a percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the PNW Coast Paddling Club to help support team activities, equipment, and travel throughout the racing season.  Dates to be announced soon.

Pelican Brewing has also generously donated a gift basket that will be raffled during the PNW Coast Paddling Club’s Fourth of July booth in Manzanita. Community members are encouraged to stop by, meet the team, and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win while supporting local paddling programs.

The celebration continues during Manzanita’s Fourth of July Parade, where the Nehalem Bay TideRunners will proudly march with their new team banner showcasing their partnership with Pelican Brewing as well as North County Recreation District (NCRD). Spectators will also have an opportunity to wish the team well before they head to Olympia, Washington, to compete in their first race of the season mid-July.

Adding to the excitement, Pelican Brewing’s iconic “Born at the Beach” branding and logo will soon appear on the TideRunners’ hometown dragon boat. Once installed, the newly decaled boat can be seen during the team’s regular practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Sunday mornings on the Nehalem River.

“This partnership reflects what makes our coastal communities so special—local businesses and local organizations working together to strengthen community connections while supporting healthy, active lifestyles,” said the PNW Coast Paddling Club. “We are incredibly grateful for Pelican Brewing’s generosity and enthusiasm as we launch into a new racing season.”

The PNW Coast Paddling Club invites everyone to join in celebrating this exciting partnership throughout the summer and fall by attending the Fourth of July festivities, participating in the Pint Nights, and cheering on the Nehalem Bay TideRunners as they represent the North Oregon Coast on the water.
