Celebrate Fall Friends Day with Books and Treats
The kids are back at school, pumpkin everything abounds, and the North Tillamook Library Friends are celebrating the changing season with Fall Friends Days in late October. Both events will be at the Manzanita Library and are open to the public.
On Membership Day, Oct. 30, from 3 to 6 p.m., join the Friends or renew your membership. When you do, you will earn a raffle ticket for Cloud & Leaf Bookstore gift certificates. You can also choose a free book from the daily used book sale. If you bring a friend who becomes a member, you’ll earn an extra raffle ticket.
Then on Halloween, the Friends are hosting Children’s Day: Books for Treats, where trick-or-treaters can choose a free new book instead of candy. Books for toddlers to teenagers will be available. Cider and doughnuts will also be served. The event begins at 3 p.m. on Oct. 31.
The Friends of the Library own, maintain, and improve the library building and grounds. Books for Treats is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Manzanita.
