A new official ballot drop box is installed and ready for voters to use at Nestucca Fire District – Beaver, Blaine Rd, Beaver, OR 97108. This drop box will make it easier and safer for local voters to return their ballots for the November election.
“Thank you to everyone in our community who worked together to make this new drop site possible in record time,” Tillamook County Clerk Christy Nyseth said. “This drop box means more Oregonians will be able to securely return their ballots directly to our office without having to drive a long way. That’s a big win.”
Oregonians can find the drop box nearest them at OregonVotes.gov/Dropbox. The list of all drop site locations, including this new one, in Tillamook County is here. Or see below.
In response to service changes at the U.S. Postal Service delaying postmarking and delivery times for all mail, including ballots, the Tillamook County Clerk’s office and Oregon Secretary of State’s office are recommending voters return their ballot via an official drop box.
This drop box was made possible by an emergency investment from the Oregon State Legislature. County officials are working with the Secretary of State’s office to quickly place new drop boxes in areas that would reduce travel times for the most Oregon voters.
It is still safe to return your ballot by mail. However, with less than seven days until the election, Oregonians are encouraged to go into the Post Office and ask for a hand postmark on their ballot envelope before putting their ballot in the mail.
All Oregon voters can sign up for alerts about their ballots at OregonVotes.gov/Track.
