October 17th 2024 is a thundering Full Moon in Aries that demands action. It is HIGHLY charged by being one of the corners of a Grand Cross (that is 4 squares!) that really commands you to pick a hero’s journey.
Aries strengths are zest, vitality, playful and open mindedness. This sign has the strongest ties to being fulfilled with action and movement. They LOVE a project and can be very helpful in a tough situation. Aries have your back if you have gained their loyalty.
Aries also can be very reactive and aggressive. They are infamous for escalating a situation way beyond what it is.
This strong instinctual Moon is conjunct Chiron, the asteroid that calls us to explore our deepest, unmastered wounds. That alone is the call to action on a very significant level but wait! There’s more!
The Aries Full Moon is opposite the Sun in Libra (that’s how it is a Full Moon) and square (90° angles that require action) to Pluto, the planet of our reptilian brain, and Mars, the “get ‘er done” planet. So this is the perfect configuration to choose your hero’s journey.
This 3 day window will be full of tiggers so beware of your and others reactivity. Triggers are a very low octave of a call to action. Choose to first breathe and pause your immediate reactions so that you have time to get your frontal cortex on board. Mars is in Cancer so this gives the normally aggressive planet a compassionate edge.
Call forth that compassionate during this Full Moon for both yourself and others.
If you find yourself completely overwhelmed by frustration and anger today, get outside! Go for a vigorous walk or go work out at the gym. You will feel so much better!
Your life is what you make of it. Perception is EVERYTHING! This Moon may show you where your perceptions are causing you suffering and you have a choice to battle them with lower octave energy or to arise to the challenge like a hero.
