On May 31st the second Full Moon of May which is considered a Blue Moon, shines her adventurous light down on us. The Sun is in Gemini and the Full Moon is exactly across from it in Sagittarius. This is the questing Moon and not all quests are physical. Some quests are all in our brain.
First off let’s talk about Sagittarius and Gemini. They are two mutable signs in the Zodiac that are right across from each other and therefore, have attributes that are similar and some that are dissimilar. That is inherent in their placement, they either push against one another or are trail mates on the road of adventure. (Queue the epic music!)
Sagittarius is a fire sign that is committed to the cause of expansion and Gemini is an air sign that isn’t really sure what their cause is but it certainly is fun to explore all the options! They are both very curious signs but dissimilar because Sagittarius is driven and Gemini, not so much. Think of the nature of fire and air.
So here comes the Sagittarius Full Moon every year in Gemini season, and it is always an eye opener. It provides a wind to the airy Gemini and gives it agency. Suddenly, a torch is lit and a clear way is shown through the many choices. This Full Moon is no exception and in fact, it is amplified since it is a Blue Moon and other energies in the sky.
A Blue Moon rarely happens, every 2-3 years, and the second one is about closure. With this Full Moon being in Sagittarius, it is the time to stop wavering about something and move forward. Gather your courage and go for it!
It is also an excellent time to clean up your brain. Gemini is all about thinking. We are powerless about how other people act and how community/world events go down but we do get to choose what we think about them. This is beneficial time to sweep out the thoughts that are causing you to suffer and replace them with thoughts that serve and motivate you.
There is also a wild card on this Moon as it is opposing the planet Uranus, who is the game changer. Your job is to forge forward on the path illuminated but keep an open mind. There might be some sudden switch backs in the trail ahead. If these appear, go with them! Uranus throws curve balls when we need to change directions. It is a planetary push in the right direction.
Time to commit to your cause and keep an open heart and open mind!
