Hello Earthlings
I know we all need a break from the intense energy of our times but this Full Moon in Scorpio that arrives today May 1st, isn’t bringing it. It is bringing the energy to dive into dark waters that we don’t have any idea what’s down there. (Queue the Jaws music.)
I know that our survival instincts have us clinging to the railing of the boat but the boat isn’t safe, the water is. Once you jump in, you’ll feel the ocean of emotions but you won’t be lost. You will be cleansed of what is holding you back.
Scorpio is the sign opposite of Taurus, where our warm radiant Sun is. Taurus is an Earth sign devoted to the pleasures and security of Earth. Scorpio is a deep-water sign that is all about everything intense. There is no light business in this sign. (Except for their wicked sense of humor!)
Pluto, the planet of power and transformation which is associated with Scorpio, is involved with this Full Moon and is drawing the energy to delve into our dark. It is asking us to clean out the dim corners and confront the shadows that are draining us. This might be literally or figuratively.
Some fear might come to the surface but in doing this, you will find liberation. You will experience the thrill of being unencumbered but you might have to give something up that you are very attached to.
Some of the questions to ask yourself:
-What do I need to confront that I’ve been avoiding?
-What am I attached to (I mean really attached!) that no longer serves me?
-Are my fears true?
-How does my intuition guide me to handle this?
Intuition is a superpower of Scorpio so this Moon will be heaping plenty of that upon us to navigate it. If you feel overwhelmed, overwrought, or over emotional, slow down and sit in the Sun and feel. If that feels too overwhelming then:
-Marvel at the incredible miracle of a bee visiting a flower.
-Plant something. Dig in the Earth.
-Eat a chocolate very slowly and be amazed.
-Cook something deeply nourishing and share with a loved one.
That is always the way to balance a Scorpio Full Moon, embrace Earth loving Taurus.
