BAY CITY ARTS CENTER PRESENTS: Hope Montgomery & The Invasive Species and Katelyn Convery Saturday, November 4th at 7pm

Posted on October 29, 2023 by Editor

The Bay City Arts Center is thrilled to announce a special evening of live music on Saturday, November 4th, at 7:00 PM. This event will celebrate the release of Hope Montgomery’s new album, Lose Your Cool, and features an opening performance by Katelyn Convery.

Hope Montgomery & The Invasive Species, a local indie pop quartet, will take the stage, led by the mesmerizing Hope Montgomery herself, with Charlie Wooldridge on lead guitar, Geoff Fielder on bass, and Levi Timm on drums. Their music delves into sonic explorations of complex emotional turbulence, complimented by catchy melodic phrasing that you’ll want to get up and dance to.

Katelyn Convery’s latest album, Miles Awake, boasts polished lyrics and sophisticated soundscapes, backed by a group of distinguished musicians and co-produced with bandmate and collaborator Timothy Karplus. Bittersweet angst and optimism weave through Katelyn Convery’s music, piercing the frontier of modern alt-rock, and harkening back to the edgy era of 90s NW grunge, with textures characteristic of early 2000s indie-pop. Born and raised in Oregon, Katelyn now splits time between Portland and the Oregon Coast.
