The City of Bay City and Bay City Fire & Rescue are pleased to announce that construction activities on the Fire Station 41 Seismic Retrofit Project are scheduled to begin May 11, 2026.
The initial work includes asbestos abatement work, necessary so that other construction activities can safely occur. For that reason, little activity will be visible from the outside during the initial weeks. This work is funded through a grant from Business Oregon.
For the construction period, the Fire Station’s personnel have been temporarily relocated to City Hall, where conditions will also allow our valued volunteer firefighters to continue regular weekly training throughout the summer.
