Candidates Forums to Take Place Oct. 3rd at White Clover Grange, Nehalem and Oct. 8th at TBCC in Tillamook

The Tillamook Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), in partnership with the White Clover Grange, will be hosting a Candidates Forum at the White Clover Grange, 36585 Highway 53, Nehalem on October 3rd. Beginning at 5:30 pm, there will be a 30 minute opportunity to mingle with the candidates, with the Forum kicking off at 6 pm sharp. Candidates from many of the major races will be present to answer tough questions from the community. At this point in time, the candidates include: for County Commissioner Position #3 – Mary Faith Bell and Adam Schwend; for State Representative District # 32- Tiffiny Mitchell (D), Vineeta Lower (R), and Brian Halvorsen (I); and for US Representative District #5 – Mark Callahan (R) and Marvin Sannes (PG).

Beginning at 5:30 pm, there will be a 30 minute opportunity to mingle with the candidates, with the Forum kicking off at 6 pm sharp. Candidates from many of the major races will be present to answer questions from the community. At this point in time, the candidates include: for County Commissioner Position #3 – Mary Faith Bell and Adam Schwend; for State Representative District #10 – Representative David Gomberg (D) and Thomas Donohue (R); for State Representative District # 32- Tiffiny Mitchell (D), Vineeta Lower (R), and Brian Halvorsen (I); for US Representative District #5 – Mark Callahan (R) and Marvin Sannes (PG).

Both panels will be moderated by AAUW. Questions will be accepted from the audience in a written format. This is a good opportunity to ask candidates about their positions on issues that matter to you. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Lisa (AAUW) at 503-801-4122.
