EDITOR’S NOTE: There are many great resources on social media, Substack, etc. The Card Campaign is one that I’ve been following for several years. It’s a great concept of putting factual information about civics, government and more on cards that people can randomly distribute. Card Campaign aims to inform people about civics, our rights, and issues that affect us all. Knowledge is power. The message with these cards inspired me to share the cards and the message. Now is the a critical time to “get out the vote.”
Good Morning, Democracy Champions!
I don’t use the word “champions” lightly; many of you are stepping up, speaking out, and doing everything you can to get people to the polls. Championing voting is patriotic work—perhaps the most patriotic work we can do.
We can feel the excitement building for our election on November 3rd, which is just 45 days away. Some states have already started early and mail-in voting, while the rest of us will join in the coming weeks. Remember John Lewis’s words: “The vote is the most powerful non-violent tool we have.”
We cannot slow down. In these critical days, we must do everything possible to help others realize that their vote is their power and that every vote truly counts. Let’s make sure people understand what they’re voting FOR—and what they’re voting AGAINST.
We have new cards, which are a great tool for those still figuring out their vote or who believe their vote doesn’t matter.
“We Have Enough” emphasizes the abundance this country offers to all who live here, and how we can help everyone build their own American Dream—the life each of us desires and is voting FOR.
“What Do We Want” explains our Democratic Republic and how Democratic Socialism functions within it. It busts myths, counters fear-mongering from the Radical Right, and highlights what we’re voting AGAINST—the fascism threatening our freedoms and destroying the American Dream.
This election is vital to our nation’s survival. We all feel it. It’s up to us—across all backgrounds and party lines—to work together to restore a democracy rooted in equality and well-being for everyone. That’s how we defeat fascism. These new cards show that our votes this year are the first crucial step toward a brighter, freer future.
