CITY OF NEHALEM SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR WATERFRONT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Posted on November 23, 2021 by Editor
The City of Nehalem is establishing a Waterfront Advisory Committee to consider potential waterfront development and improvements (including public access, docks, non-motorized access, signage, etc.) and develop a waterfront plan to submit to the City Council. Within the context of the city’s Comprehensive Plan, the committee will develop aspirations, goals and objectives for the waterfront, will recommend short and long-term goals for improvements, and will advise the City Council on the steps necessary to pursue them.

The committee will consist of five to seven members. Two members must reside within city limits or manage or own an existing business within city limits. Committee members shall serve four-year terms and are appointed by the City Council. The committee will be convened and facilitated by city staff. Committee members shall not receive any financial compensation, but the public service they provide their community is greatly appreciated.

For more information, contact Melissa Thompson-Kiefer, City Manager at (503) 368-5627 or email mthompson@nehalem.gov

Please submit the application below to the office of the City Manager by 12 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021.
