The City of Rockaway Beach Publick Works announnced that groundbreaking for the City’s Wayside Beach Access and Accessibility project is scheduled to begin on September 24th. Construction is expected to last through early November. This project will include new concrete stair and ramp beach access, new ADA parking for the restrooms,
electrical and sidewalk upgrades, new foot washing stations and water fountain, and a new bronze plaque recognizing the contributors to install wayside rehabilitation in 2012. This is a notice to the public that the beach access at the wayside will be closed during construction. Alternative beach access routes are N. 3rd or S. 2nd for safety purposes. Another great capital project in the works!
