The City of Tillamook advises residents, businesses, and visitors of upcoming road construction on First Street in downtown Tillamook beginning Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, 2026, with work potentially extending into the week of July 13–17 if necessary.
Construction activities will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The project will require the temporary closure of a portion of First Street between Main Avenue and Ivy Avenue, with signed detours in place to safely direct motorists around the work zone.
What to Expect
• Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily
• Construction Dates: July 6–10, with possible continuation July 13–17
• Road Closure: Portion of First Street in the downtown area
• Detours: Clearly marked detour routes will direct traffic around the closure using surrounding streets. Motorists should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible.
The City asks everyone traveling through the area to:
• Slow down and obey posted speed limits.
• Follow all detour signs and directions from traffic control personnel.
• Watch carefully for construction workers, equipment, pedestrians, and cyclists.
• Avoid the work zone whenever practical.
