Our North Coast is beautiful, it sustains us, it nourishes us, we are really lucky, we call
this home all of us.
The generations of people, the indigenous, the newly arrived, all of us we fall in love with the
spruce and the moss and what about the fish, the waves… the coastal habitat!
Now we plan for the future. We look for the ways we can help each other and sustain and
respect our environment our home.
This takes listening to each other. Conversation and discussion with the people whom we
elect to protect and improve our homes, our families, our daily lives.
He waited at our community club meeting. It was silent.
Then one of us took a deep breath she started talking.
Cyrus Javadi listened carefully, he asked a question.
Cyrus Jevadi listens.
This is when I saw what impressed me. He was listening carefully. He asked a question!
I was startled.
He had come to hear us (?) he invited our insights and our concerns. Dr. Jevadi understands
we take care of each other we take care of our clean water, clear creeks and
rivers and productive bays we all need to be heard from every one of us.
Cyrus Jevadi understands we can not leave some people behind and we must at the same
time protect our environment. This is a complex
planning process. We are all part of the future let’s talk let’s share our insights.
We are lucky that Representative Javadi is such a great listener. We need our concerns about
the North coast to be heard and acted upon.
I trust him to do that for us in Salem.
