Posted on January 22, 2020 by Editor

Browns Camp, OR – At approximately 4:30 pm on Monday, January 2oth, Tillamook County Communications District 911 received a call from a 39 year old male from Portland who was up in the area of Browns Camp playing in the snow with his 4 year old son. The caller said he was on an unknown logging road in deep snow and had gotten his Toyota Tacoma 4X4 stuck and needed assistance. Deputies responded to the area and located him after searching for about 2 hours, using descriptions of the area and cell phone signal locations.

Neither the male or child were injured and were provided a courtesy ride to meet family in North Plains, OR.
The vehicle was later recovered by an unknown tow company.
Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Tillamook 911, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency (WCCCA) and Columbia County 911 Communications District (CC911CD) who all received information as the cell calls the male made jumped around via the cell towers.
