Dear Friends,
My name is India Downes-Le Guin, and I enthusiastically support the renewal of the 5-year levy for general operations of the North County Recreation District that will be on the ballot this November.
Since I moved here a year ago, NCRD has quickly become vital to my well-being. I started attending classes at the encouragement of my good friend Jenna Edginton. I came to my first class for a good workout, and I have kept on coming back for the community (and bigger biceps).
NCRD provides an accessible range of offerings and—perhaps my favorite part—cross-generational connections. It is so special and inspiring to take classes with people of all ages, and the programs offered for our youth are sorely needed.
I strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to engage in practices that make them feel like their best selves. NCRD is an incredible asset to our rural community and I look forward to supporting it in any way I can.
I am looking forward to voting YES for NCRD in November. I hope you will join me.
