The Forest Trust Land Advisory Committee is a statutory body of elected county commissioners that advises the Board of Forestry and the State Forester on the management of state forestlands and the distribution of revenues those lands generate. It represents the 15 Oregon counties (including Tillamook) that receive a share of timber and other income from the state forests under long-standing trust arrangements. Members are chosen each November when the Council of Forest Trust Land Counties elects its board of directors at the Association of Oregon Counties annual meeting. Current leadership includes Chair Margaret Magruder (Columbia County) and Vice Chair Erin Scar (Tillamook County).
More information, including the Teams link, is available on the FTLAC webpage. Accommodations for people with disabilities can be arranged by calling 503-945-7200 or emailing ftlac.comment@odf.oregon.gov at least 48 hours in advance.
