Fourth Annual Kermes to be held September 24th at the Tillamook High School

Fourth Annual Kermes to be held September 24th at the Tillamook High School Cafeteria from 3:30 to 7:30pm

Posted on September 10, 2022February 2, 2023 by Editor

The parent group “Unidos” along with the support of the Spanish Classes at THS and the English Language Learner Program are excited to announce the Fourth Annual Kermes to be held September 24th at the Tillamook High School Cafeteria from 3:30 to 7:30pm.

A Kermes is a cultural and fundraising event that will be celebrating Mexican culture and raising funds for different cultural activities for students in our schools, as well as two scholarships for two graduating students at THS. Through the success of this event we have been able to award $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors.

At the Kermes people will purchase tickets that will be used to play games, and purchase food. We will have traditional Mexican food (mole, enchiladas, tacos, corn, and many more). We will also have a Mariachi Band (Mariachi Chapala) playing live music throughout our event.

Please come and support the Hispanic parents and make connections with your students’ families. It is important for them to see you there. Help us get the word out on this event!

¡Gracias!
Matt Dickson, Vice Principal at THS
Slivia Dickson, ELL Specialist at Liberty
