FRIENDS OF NETARTS BAY WEBS: Netarts/Oceanside Fall Beach Cleanup Sept. 19th

Posted on September 15, 2026 by Editor

Join Friends of Netarts Bay Watershed, Estuary, Beach, and Sea (WEBS) staff and volunteers for another satisfying day cleaning up the beaches from Cape Lookout State Park to Cape Meares on Saturday September 19th from Noon to 2pm.

WEBS has been hosting cleanups for decades with SOLVE, an environmental non-profit that supports volunteer-led environmental stewardship throughout Oregon.  Fall offers the perfect opportunity to come together as a community and restore our beaches after visitors and locals enjoyed spending summer days on our coastal shores.

“Clean up the beach with friends or family, or expand your community by teaming up with fellow volunteers. Volunteers of all ages will find the beach cleanup fun, educational, and rewarding,” shares Marina Dreeben, WEBS Stewardship Coordinator.

We will meet at the Schooner Restaurant at 12 p.m. to check in and pick up buckets, gloves and trash grabbers.  If you have these supplies at home, we encourage you to bring them.  Thanks to the amazing crew at The Schooner Restaurant and Lounge, all volunteers will receive a coupon for 10% off dinner on the evening of the cleanup, so be sure to stick around for a delicious, locally-sourced meal while you enjoy the rest of the afternoon of satisfying beach cleanup!

As you head out to clean up or just explore, it is important to remember that ocean shores can be dangerous. Avoid logs in the water, keep your distance from marine mammals, and never turn your back on the ocean! If you find any hazardous material, please alert a staff member.
