Everyone loves a parade — especially one that almost didn’t happen — due to upcoming construction and the jetty construction, the city wasn’t sure if Garibaldi Days would take place this year. Embracing the construction this year’s them “Jetty Rock Jamboree” celebrates the rebuilding of the Tillamook Bay South Jetty which has closed portions of the port, and has scores of trucks with huge rocks traveling on Hwy. 101. One of the displays show the size of some of the “medium” rocks for the jetty.
