Indivisible Tillamook Coast Action proudly presents a Celebration of International Women’s Day. It will be held Sunday, March 8th, 2026 at the Fairview Grange: 5520 Third St., Tillamook, OR.
This Year’s International Women’s Day marks 115 years of advocating for women’s equality worldwide. The 2026 campaign, highlighted by the theme “#GiveToGain” and supported by the UN’s focus on “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” emphasizes dismantling structural barriers, fostering inclusivity, and accelerating gender parity.
IWD is a movement, powered by the collective efforts of all. The day belongs to all groups, everywhere. That’s what makes IWD so inclusive, not exclusive.

Purple, green, & white are the colors of women’s suffrage and are widely adopted for IWD. Their use originated from the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) in the UK, founded in 1903. Purple signifies justice and dignity, and being loyal to the cause. Green symbolizes hope. White represents purity, albeit a controversial concept. Yet, the wearing of white is a symbol of sisterhood and solidarity, respecting and representing the progress made by those who have fought for women’s suffrage.
