Kayak Wet Exit & Re-Entry Course Saturday, April 29th at YMCA Pool

In this experiential course presented by Kayak Tillamook County, you will learn the basics of what to do when (not if ) you capsize in your kayak. Both ‘self recovery’ and ‘assisted recovery’ scenarios will be demonstrated and practiced. Basic safety gear will be provided for show and tell – their uses explained and general safety advice offered. All Equipment is provided (PFD, paddle, kayaks).  18 yrs and older (Adults Only)

Time allowing, we will also experiment with a few paddle technique – Bracing and Sculling. Fun! Fun!

12:00 noon – Kayak Washing ( if bringing own kayak )
1:00pm  – 4:00pm Pool Session ( Heated Pool !! )
