Lee Blackmon Celebration Feb. 19th – His Birthday; Request for Photos, Videos, Stories; Lee Rocks Painting Party Feb. 11

Posted on February 3, 2024 by Editor

A Community Celebration for Lee Blackmon will be held on February 19th – Lee’s Birthday. Details are being finalized and additional information is available on the Facebook event page (link below.) A video/photo presentation is being assembled and the organizers are requesting that the community send any images or videos to theleeblackmonfoundation@gmail.com or the event Facebook page via messenger or The Lee Blackmon Foundation Facebook page (links below.)
The Celebration will provide an opportunity for the community to share their memories – we would like to put together a memory wall of photos of the animals (and humans) that Lee helped through Animal Haven by the Sea. If you have an animal rescued/adopted, please share your photos.
If you have questions or need tech assistance, pleaase contact editor@tillamookcountypioneer.net.
We will be putting together multiple video/photo presentations: Photo/video slide show; Feature Video; and Animal Haven Pets.
DEADLINE – Please share photos/videos by Feb. 9th – that will give our video/photo editors time to put together the presentations.
Here are the ways that folks can share their photos/videos:
#1. Send to theleeblackmonfoundation@gmail.com – for files larger than 5MB – please use www.wetransfer.com (a free service that will send multiple photos and large video files.)
#2. Send via Facebook Messenger to The Lee Blackmon Foundation Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/Theleeblackmonfoundation

Come join us for Lee Rocks Painting Party Sunday February 11th from 1-6 at NCRD kitchen.

We will gather to honor Lee and paint rocks with his name on one side and a small symbol of a heart, paw print or something similar on the other side.
When you do something that Lee would have done such as filling up the pet watering station or helping someone in need leave a Lee Rocks there.
If you find one you can pick it up and pass it on leaving it where you do the same.
We will have rocks and supplies available but feel free to bring rocks that are special to you to paint and if you have paint you would like to use feel free to bring that as well.
A huge thank you to NCRD for donating the use of their kitchen for this event, Lori Dillon for donating painting supplies and support, Ginger at North Fork for 53 for donating tea and this amazing community. There will be tea and snacks.
We would like to have Lee Rocks available at various locations with signage and have future Lee rocks parties to keep the ripple effect that Lee made on this planet going strong.
