Hey MooVoters! We have some races!! And lots of candidates, but there’s plenty of room for others to file. What there isn’t much of, is time. Tomorrow, March 20th, 2025 is the filing deadline.
To run for a seat you must be registered to vote and live in the district for the seat you’re pursuing. Some districts are further separated by zones. If a seat lists a zone, you must live within the zone of the district to run for that seat. However, all of the voters in that district will be voting for all of the available seats. If a seat is listed as “position” than you are eligible to file for any of those positions. If you’re confused about what seat you might be eligible for, the friendly folks at the county clerk’s office will help you figure it out.

Although all of these positions are non-partisan, you’re encouraged to seek assistance in your campaign from your party or other organizations. But remember an endorsement from a party doesn’t mean the candidate represents the party, it means the party likes what the candidate represents.

How to file:
Filing is easy and just $10. You can fill out PDF Form SEL 190 online at https://sos.oregon.gov/elections/Documents/SEL190.pdf. Then you print it out and file it with the County Clerk at the Tillamook County Courthouse, 201 Laurel Ave., Tillamook, OR 97141. You may also pick up blank forms at the clerk’s office. You can mail the filing plus fee, or go into the office. The deadline to file is March 20, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Good luck!! And, thank you.
