Congratulations to Pirate Track and Field for their performances at the OSAA 3A state competition Thursday and Friday! The Boys Track Team finished 6th overall at the state meet!
Liam Gibson defended his state title in the 800M and set the 3A State Meet record with his time of 1:52.78! Congratulations Liam on a great Senior year!
The Boys 4×400 team of Dylan Sigman, Gus Kirby, Zach Luquette, and Liam Gibson capped the night off, finishing in 2nd. Liam anchored the race and ran a blistering 48.7 sec. final leg to take the team from 4th to 2nd down the final stretch of the race.
Sophomore Dylan Sigman along with the 4×400 relay, added to the team point total by finishing in 3rd place in the 800m.
Junior Gus Kirby had a tremendous State Meet as well. Along with the 4x400m relay, Gus also finished 3rd in the 3000m breaking his own school record in the process, as well as finishing 5th in the 1500m.
Freshman Cameron Whittle added to the team score by placing 7th in the 100m finals!
On the Girls Track and Field side, congratulations to Junior Tia Mautner on finishing 2nd in state in the Discus. Tia had a personal best throw of 34.33m (112-07)
