New Shop, Wild, to Replace Mother Nature’s in Manzanita

Posted on April 10, 2019 by Editor

Mother Nature’s, a downtown Manzanita grocery store (298 Laneda Ave.), has been purchased by local resident Natasha Stevens, and will be opening its doors as Wild on May 1, 2019.
Wild’s tagline will be “Eat. Drink. Be.”, with a focus on local and sustainable offerings, and intends to be a space for gathering. Wild will still offer bulk grocery items, and will expand its selection of locally-produced meats, vegetables, and other food items.

Mother Nature’s will be closing its doors on April 14, 2019. On April 12, 13, and 14, Mother Nature’s will be liquidating perishables and some grocery items, and Stevens will be there to take questions and feedback. The reopening of WILD will be on May 1 under the new name. Patrons will find more seating, more prepared foods, including ready-to-eat sandwiches and wraps, a juice bar, and some familiar staff members still behind the counter.
Gambele Kerr will remain as an integral part of Wild’s planning and operation.
Suggestions and input from the community is encouraged. For more information, please contact Natasha Stevens, owner of Wild, at wildmanzanita@yahoo.com.
