Dairy Day

I had the opportunity to share courtesies on the floor of the Senate this week to honor Dairy Day.  I’ve attached the video here and in the picture above.

Meanwhile, Tillamook FFA was making their way around the building to share tasty dairy products and answer questions about the industry.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting a visit from our local CCA Oregon members!

SAPR

Oregon Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence visited to discuss their priorities in the legislature.   It was great to see both Hilary Levine with the coalition and Andrea Hugmeyer with the Oregon National Guard Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program. The work they are doing is so valuable to Oregonians.

Please take a minute to explore the program in the links and if you or someone you know needs help please follow the link below for contact information.

museum tour

This one is a bit late but worthy of sharing still.  While the Joint Committee on Ways and Means was in Astoria we managed to fit in a tour of the Columbia Maritime Museum.   If you haven’t made your way there in recent years, please do stop by and visit the extraordinary exhibits. Two of their most recent additions include This is our Place and Cedar and Sea: The Maritime Culture of the Indigenous People of the Pacific Northwest Coast.
