From the comments:  “A real gem for our community.” “Keep up the good work – NCRD is a great resource for our community!” “The staff is very nice!” “We’re so excited about the new pool!”

The finish line is in sight for the new pool – and fundraising continues to “fill the pool” – with donations of $2 million needed to complete the project. The Board is determined to finish the project without a construction delay, and is exploring options that will ensure the completion of the pool project. Now is the time to make a donation to this valuable community treasure, so the legacy of swim lessons for all in North County can continue for decades to come.  To donate go to www.ncrd.org/friends or mail a check to Friends of NCRD, PO BOX 207, Nehalem, OR 97131.

As work continues to progress on the new pool, scheduled for opening in the summer of 2025, all the services and departments throughout NCRD continue to hum along. The Youth department welcomes dozens of students daily afterschool; youth sports just wrapped up soccer and is gearing up for “futsal” (indoor soccer.)

Thinking about a holiday happening?  Be sure to get reservations in to ensure room availability for special events. NCRD has a variety of rooms and options but they are quickly filling, and we are booking into 2025.  For more information, call 855-444-6273.

There’s always so much going on at NCRD – be sure to check out the gallery featuring local artists.  The Performing Arts Center (PAC) will feature the Riverbend Players holiday radio play, “It’s A Wonderful Life”, opening December 6th. Watch for more exciting programs, plays and music coming to the PAC.

The Performing Arts Center Manager at NCRD, Kenia Goodman is asking for community input, she says, “Your opinion matters to me, and I strive to continuously improve our theater and services based on your valuable insights.”
To share those insights, please complete a short survey. As a thank you for completing the survey, which will only take 2-3 minutes, you will be entered into a raffle to win two free tickets to all 2025 concerts at NCRD. To take advantage of this opportunity, please click the survey link below:

This form will be used to plan future programs. Please feel free to forward this questionnaire to other locals.

The Fitness Center is open 7 days a week – 6 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8 am to Noon on Saturday and Sunday. Dozens of fitness classes are available from spin to yoga to salsa dancing and much more!

NCRD is bustling, and with the popularity of programs and facilities, there are times when parking can be challenging. Please be patient, and aware that there is an active construction zone as well as closures to some access points. There are designated handicapped spots, and if you need special accommodations for parking, just let NCRD know how we can assist to make sure NCRD is accessible for all.

For more information, about all the services provided by NCRD go to www.ncrd.org.
