OBITUARY: Cynthia Irene Roach-Skelton – April 26, 1964 – October 29, 2026

Posted on November 3, 2026 by Editor

Cynthia Irene Roach-Skelton (Sorber), lovingly known by many as “Sam”, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026, after ongoing health issues.

Cindy was born on April 26, 1964, in Auburn, California, to Janice Sorber (Mahlberg) and Michael Sorber. A few years later, her sister Pamela joined the family. The two sisters were tight as thieves. Although they lived far apart, they made up for it with hour-long phone calls. Whenever they were together, there was always laughter. They would laugh until they cried, and it was always a joy to see the happiness they shared.

Cindy moved to Tillamook in the summer of 1979, where she met Jerry Roach. They were married in 1988 and had three Amazing children: Ashley Elizabeth Kleeman (Roach), Michael Burton Roach, and Jade Nicole Roach-McQuinn. Cindy and Jerry later separated, and she eventually met and married Meridth Craig Skelton in November 1994. She gained two bonus children, Kristi and Jenny Skelton, whom she loved as her own.

In the summer of 1997, Cindy moved to Montana and loved having a little farm of her own. She enjoyed kayaking the Missouri River, fishing, canning, gardening, and spending time playing with her beloved goats. Cindy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Pamela Moore (Sorber), and her father, Michael Sorber. She leaves behind her Mother Janice sorber, 8 children, 24 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, with 2 more great-grandchildren due this year.
