It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Loren Shreve, who passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at the age of 73, following a battle with kidney failure, congestive heart failure, and diabetes.
Born on September 5, 1952, Michael was born and raised in Tillamook, Oregon, a place he proudly called home throughout his life. He was known for his quiet strength, unwavering love for his family, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Mike found happiness in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman who made sure nearly every family vacation included time on the water with a fishing pole in hand. He also enjoyed many hunting trips he shared over the years with family and friends.
For 49 years, Mike was a member of the BPOE Elks.
Above all, Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sharon, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sharon Shreve; his daughters, Kristi (Gregg) Schmitt, Kim Barker (Rob), and Keriann (James) Johansen; his grandchildren, Alexis, Sidney, Joe, Jay, and Karsten; and his great-grandchildren, Greyson and Harley. He also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends.
Although Mike faced many health challenges over the years, he met them with determination and resilience. His strength, love for his family, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Mike’s legacy lives on in the love he gave, the family he cherished, and the countless memories created on fishing and hunting trips, family gatherings, and quiet moments together. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Tillamook Kidney Center in Mike’s honor. 1000 3rd Street Tillamook, OR 97141.
