OREGON FOOD BANK: Full November SNAP Benefits Return for Oregon Families

Posted on November 7, 2025November 7, 2025 by Editor

Oregon families who receive SNAP will see 100% of their November benefits beginning November 7, 2025. The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) confirmed on its website that full benefits will be issued following days of uncertainty.

On October 31, two federal judges ruled that the US Department of Agriculture cannot suspend food benefits and ordered the Department to fund the program. On November 3, the Administration said it would release partial funding, leaving families without enough support for their most urgent needs. On November 6, a federal judge ordered the Department to fully fund SNAP for the month.

This disruption is part of a larger and troubling trend impacting SNAP recipients. On July 4, the Administration signed into law H.R. 1, which includes the largest cuts to food assistance in U.S. history. Nearly one million children nationwide will lose food assistance, local grocery stores will see reduced revenue and thousands of Oregonians already facing hardship will be pushed even further to the brink. The changes will impact thousands of Oregon children, older adults and families already struggling to make ends meet.

Thank you to everyone in our community who spoke up to protect SNAP and support food access. While this decision brings short-term relief, it also reminds us how easily policy decisions can disrupt access to food and why we must stay engaged.

Food is a human right and access to it should never be in question.
