Oregon State Parks Reopening Day Use Areas: Nehalem Bay State Park, Oswald West Day Use Opening Friday June 5th

The following day-use parks will open by noon on Friday, June 5:

  • Tolovana State Recreation Site, Cannon Beach
  • Arcadia State Recreation Site, Clatsop County
  • Hug Point State Recreation Site, Clatsop County
  • Oswald West State Park, Tillamook County
    Necarney Creek parking lot within Oswald West will remain closed to try and limit crowds, as will the unimproved lots and pullouts
  • Nehalem Bay State Park, Nehalem
  • Oregon Beach Rides equestrian concessioner should be operational by Friday, June 12
  • Boat ramp restroom remains closed due to a failed sewer lift station – guests may use the nearby day-use restroom
  • Annual passes will be available at the park office at a walk-up window

Nehalem Bay State Park campground will reopen on Tuesday, June 9 under the following conditions:

  • Like the rest of the coast, reservation only – no first-come, first-served sites will be available.
  • All showers are closed
  • No hiker/biker sites
  • Strict limit of one extra vehicle per campsite; we are collecting EV fees
  • Limited hours in the ranger station
  • Playgrounds closed
