Paddle Races Return to Nehalem Bay: Lazarus Island Paddle Classic Launches June 26th, 4 Races & Music!

It’s been 30 years since the Nehalem Bay Canoe Races filled the Nehalem River with paddlers.  Now, the craft options have changed a bit, but the enthusiasm to get on the water has not been dampened!  Come kayakers and SUPs, canoes and all paddle-powered water craft and join the Nehalem Bay’s Lazarus Island Paddle Classic to benefit the City of Wheeler.
Join the fun @ the Wheeler City Dock on Saturday June 26th.  There are 4 Races to choose from – from 1 mile to 7 miles. Timed or Just For Fun!
All Ages & Paddle Powered Water-Crafts Welcome! And did we mention that there’s music, too, from Brownsmead Flats.

REGISTER NOW! Limited spaces; to receive t-shirt must register by Monday June 14th.

One Ticket per Watercraft; One Commemorative T-shirt per Ticket.
PDF’s, Whistles, and Watercraft Permits are required as per Oregon law.
Choose 1 route per watercraft. You may change your decision the day of the race.

Check-in begins at 9am – Races at 11 am.
Start times & routes may change due to the tides.
